Delete your DocDecay account

This page explains how to delete your DocDecay account by HKSolutions and the data associated with it.

Option 1: in the app (immediate)

• Open DocDecay → Settings → Delete account and confirm.
• Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Option 2: without the app

If you no longer have the app, send a deletion request by e-mail to [Kişisel veri başvuruları için e-posta adresi] (or support@needsolutions.net) with the subject "Account deletion". Accounts are anonymous, so please include the account reference shown in the app under Settings → About, if you noted it. We confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

If you do not have the account reference, we cannot identify the account. In that case: Free accounts are deleted automatically after 180 days without sign-in, a cancelled subscription account becomes a Free account when the subscription ends, and the links of an unused account have already expired (at most 24 hours after creation).

Subscriptions

Deleting the account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play (Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → DocDecay → Cancel), otherwise Google Play continues to charge you.

What is deleted

• Your account and its identifiers, language and plan.
• All your links: active document images are destroyed immediately; the records of your links and the access records of your recipients are deleted.
• Your subscription records on our server and your notification registration.
• Your Free quota counter for the account.

What is kept, and for how long

• The Free quota counter of the device (only a number linked to a keyed hash of the app-scoped Android ID, no account data) until the end of the current month, so that deleting and recreating accounts cannot bypass the Free limit.
• Encrypted database backups for up to 30 days, after which deleted data no longer exists in them.
• If Play Integrity is enabled: one bit stored by Google meaning "this device used up its Free documents in month X". It can only be read back by our apps on the same device and contains no account data.
• Google Play keeps its own purchase records under Google's terms.
