Share a document as a link that expires, not as a file
DocDecay turns a photo of a document into a link with a lifetime and a view limit. The recipient sees it in the browser for a short time and never receives the file. Every view is recorded.
The Android app will be available on Google Play soon.
How it works
Choose the document and set the rules
Photograph or choose a document, crop it, enter the recipient's name and choose the lifetime and the view limit.
Share the link
Send the link with any messenger. The recipient opens it in the browser; the viewer offers no download.
Follow the views and destroy it if needed
Radar shows every access as it happens. Emergency destroy ends access immediately.
Features
Lifetime and view limit
5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour or a single view (valid for at most 24 hours). Then the document is deleted from the server.
PIN
Protect a link with a PIN that you pass on separately (DocDecay Pro).
Watermark for each recipient
The server renders every view with a watermark: the recipient's name, the IP address and the time (UTC).
Radar
See who opened a link and when. DocDecay Pro adds the full IP address and device details.
Emergency destroy
Close a link at any moment, even after it has been shared.
7 languages
Available in English, Deutsch, Français, Türkçe, Italiano, Español and हिन्दी.
Honest about limits
A document that is shown on a screen can still be photographed with another device. No app can technically prevent that, and DocDecay does not claim to.
What DocDecay does: every view is recorded, and the watermark shows who received the document, from which IP address and when. That makes a leaked photo traceable.
